Acts of Vytautas

Nicholas Zharkikh

Shortened text of the section. Full text in ukrainian version

Let us now see what Stryjkowski borrowed from the "Acts of Vytautas". Table contain 32 rows.

The most important result of our observations – expressive traces of use Vit4L. This or a similar copy was available Stryjkowski (except Lit1L and some Lit0L copy). This is the third chronicle used by him.

Also we see that Stryjkowski trying to synchronize these news to the Polish chronicles, to bring together the news of Smolensk, to insert in its place in a chronological series of campaign Vytautas to Podillja. But with such a rearranging "Acts" are losing their most valuable feature – internal relative chronology, which can not replace other sources.
