Therefore, it is quite natural that our review of the social structure begins with the most numerous and most important of the groups – from the working masses.

Of the 14 316 names that I counted in the PS, 12 549 names, or 88 %, belonging to persons without titles and without definitions. Their gifts for the Pechersky Monastery correspond to their poverty.
