Starting to consider the leaders of the Orthodox Church – bishops and metropolitans – I recall that at the beginning of the PS a retrospective record was made of the names of metropolitans (section 3), which ends, according to my observations, by the name Makarii († 1497).
In total during the writing of the PS, 6 metropolitans were died, of which only the first three are mentioned in the third chapter. There are no special retrospective lists of bishops in the PS at all. What are the names mentioned in the current part of the PS?
The first thing to note for this table is that all the proposed identifications of names are questionable, only possible, and not indisputable. Of the six metropolitans who died during the PS, we see in the synodikon only two names.
