While the PS and the PKK give us a very small percentage of historical names, then in the "new" historical sections of the VS, historical names make up about half of the prince’s names. The main role here was played by the increase in the number of historical documents that have preserved to our time. But in these better documented sections we have half of the names we do not know. Therefore, one should not harbor illusions about the completeness of our knowledge of the princely class, or about the synodikons as sources of princes.
