For our narrow topic, the phrase from the royal charter is of interest: "capitaneatum Camyenecensem terre nostre Podolie, in confiniis Thartarorum site» (The Kamianets county in our Podillja Voivodeship, which lies on the Tatar border). And this definition – it must be emphasized – was not given by later historians, but by contemporaries of the events.

After the attack in 1452, we have only vague references to the Tatars in the Lviv region.

Długosz recorded the next adventure with the Tatars as early as 1457.
