The problem of electronic encyclopedia constructing is briefly discussed. The differences from the traditional book-case encyclopedias pointed out.

The concept of the electronic encyclopedia of Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery is submitted. It assumes the compilation into a single information resource all knowledge on the history and present of the monastery. The general structure of the encyclopedia and technical solutions for its implementation are discussed.
