According to documents in 1816, Zabila family owned 204 serfs of both genders in the villages Chesnokovka and Krasilovka near Borzna.

Probably, after the resignation in 1834 Victor Zabila began to build his own farm Viktorov (Zabelovschina) – about 5 km from Borzna (modern village Zabelovschina).

This hamlet he owned until his death. According to the evidence of 1850-s, on the farm were between 11 and 16 yards. Thus, Victor can not be considered a rich man, but he was not also very poor.
