Experience of filling database of the State Register of National Cultural Heritage

Database of State register of national cultural heritage was filled by Heritage protection research institute of the Ministry of Culture and Arts of Ukraine in 2001 – 2002. According to the task at this stage work included historical monuments, archeological monuments of national importance.

The article deals with software, information sources, methods of handling text and images, topographic information, the overall assessment of sources, the results of filling the database, the prospect of work on the database.
